IC 1674 is probably a defect on the 24-inch Bruce plate that Stewart examined. There is nothing at his position on the modern sky survey plates, and the galaxy chosen by ESO as a possible candidate is 17 seconds in RA and 19 arcmin in Dec off the nominal position.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
