A close double star, in the space between the Whale's back, and the kheït, or band of Pisces, about 10° north of η Ceti, on the line towards α Trianguli. A 6, bright white; B 8, white. A beautiful object, but very difficult to measure in distance: it is No. 113 of Σ., who terms the components vicinæ; and as his last measures werePos. 334°30 Dist. 1".177 Ep. 1836.91it seems to have a direct angular movement, to the amount of about 0°.700 per annum: but this requires verification. A proper motion in space is moreover attributed to the star A, to the following values:
[ 22° 1".60 2019 WDS]P.... RA +0".06 Dec. +0".05
B.... +0".06 -0".02
