Harold Corwin
Stewart described this as "2 F neb., E". The two are about an arcminute apart, the brighter to the southeast. There is a faint star near the northwestern galaxy that may have been blended with the galaxy on Stewart's plate.
I've given positions for both objects, and a mean position for them as well.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
Object Note
As the IC description notes, IC 1903 is two 15th magnitude galaxies about 1' apart, PGC11990 to the south at 15.0 magnitude and PGC 11986 to the north at 15.5 magnitude
