Pale yellow, the 9th magnitude star visible 3' southeast is a listed companion, another 9th magnitude sits 4' south-southeast forming a notable triangle of stars with ω1 Tau as the northwest corner
Gaia EDR3 data shows that this companion HD 284336 listed as B in WDS shares the same parallax and high proper motion as ω2 Tau, both are fairly close by with a parallax of 35mas or 93 lightyears, the second unlisted 9th magnitude star HD 284337 is a background star
