Observing Notes

Harold Corwin

IC 2072 may be the galaxy I've listed in the table. However, Stewart's position is more than 3 arcmin off -- quite a bit for him -- and this object, like several others on the 1-hour Bruce plate 4199 (see IC 2069) is marked "Suspected".

So, the identification is not secure. In fact, I suspect (no pun or sarcasm intended!) that Stewart's object is actually a plate defect.
