IC 2083 is a barred spiral with a disturbed outer ring. It also has a bright knot, or possibly the disturbing companion galaxy, superposed on the western end of the bar. It is one of the members of the cluster Abell S0463 of which IC 2082 is the brightest galaxy.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
