A fine pair of 10th magnitude stars with about 18" separation, the magnitudes are nearly eauqal, both appear to be white though although faint making color uncertain, the entire region is spectacular with M38, NGC 1907 and a very rich galactic starfield, 5' southwest of the 6th magnitude HR 1794
