Nothing notable at the coordinates just 34' northwest of the fine double ε Mon, a single 8th magnitude star HD 44586 with a chain of five 10th to 11th magnitude stars wandering 10' to the north, not a convincing cluster
Archinal & Hynes relay the note from DSFG... "Probably not a cluster"
