A coarse clump of a few bright stars in a rich galactic starfield 1° north of NGC 2244, this modest group is framed by three brighter 7th magnitude stars on the west, south, and northeast, not a particularly convincing cluster visually, coarse, fully resolved, stars 7th to 10th magnitude
Archinal & Hynes list this as a cluter, as does WEBDA with a reasonable color-magnitude diagram for this group
12 Monocerotis | NGC 2237 | NGC 2238 |
NGC 2246 | NGC 2252 | Rosette Nebula Cluster |
