A star with a distant companion, in the space above the Crab's northern legs; they lie on the parallel with β Tauri and Pollux, at about one-third of the distance eastward of the latter. A 6½, pale white; B 11, lilac. This object was registered 109 ♅. VI., in 1782; but no measures were given. It was, however, assiduously attacked by Sir James South, who obtained these results:
