A region of rich galactic starfield 50' northwest of NY Vel, no obvious structure noted beyond a few knots of stars typical of the area, nothing particularly notable on the survey imagery.
Closer examination of the survey imagery shows a possible small cluster at 08h37m37.7s -39°36'11", a couple minutes north of the SIMBAD coordinates. The location corresponds to one of the "small knots" noted in my visual description. Imagery also seems to show a wisp of reflection nebula around and north of the cluster
Archinal & Hynes list this as a cluster and notes Brian Skiff calling out the better coordinates, DSFG "Probably not a cluster", WEBDA lists as a cluster with data on nine members and a vaguely cluster like if sparse UBV diagram, Gaia EDR3 data shows many of the listed stars share common parallax and proper motion
