IC 567 is a star northeast of NGC 3024. Bigourdan estimated its offset from the galaxy on just the first night (18 March 1890) he saw it. He did not find it again on a poorer second night nine years later, and even on a third night in 1903, he says that he only glimpsed it occasionally. He did note another object southeast of NGC 3024 on that last night, but that too is a star.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
