Observing Notes
Harold Corwin
IC 2543 is one of Javelle's discoveries. He notes it as being mottled, so it is possible that he glimpsed the fainter northern companion. In addition, his position is closer to that northern galaxy. So, I've taken the two as the IC object rather than just one or the other.
