IC 2672 is a star superposed on the southern arm of IC 2673 (which see). There are two other much fainter objects to the west of the star; one is a background galaxy and the other is a red star (see the SDSS image) -- these, too, may be included in the image on Wolf's plate. The resolution on the print I looked at is too poor to be sure. It does show both IC objects quite clearly separated, though.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
