Spitaler's declination offset has the wrong sign in his paper: it should be "+" rather than "-". This puts Spitaler's position exactly on a faint, otherwise uncatalogued galaxy. Curiously, there is a somewhat brighter galaxy (UGC 6696) just two arcmin to the northwest. How did Spitaler miss that?
