IC 3074 is a late-type galaxy seen almost exactly edge-on. The DSS images appear to show a galaxy similar to NGC 55 with an eccentric bar, in this case toward the northern end of the galaxy, and a slightly fainter arm toward the southern end. The SDSS image is somewhat more symmetric, but the center of the bulge is still offset toward the north.
