IC 3076 is a star at Schwassmann's position. Even though Ames declared it "Not found" and Wolfgang pointed at a faint galaxy, Schwassmann's position is within five arcseconds of the DSS position, and his description ("vF, vS") from the 6-inch plate is appropriate.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
