IC 3463 is a wide double star, or perhaps just the northern of the two. Schwassmann's position is closer to the northern, but his description includes the position angle (40 deg) appropriate to both stars. I've opted to call the double IC 3463, but have included the two stars separately as well.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
