IC 3820 is a fairly faint galaxy with a plate defect superposed on its image on Wolf's original plate. The defect pulls Wolf's position (copied correctly into IC2) 10 or 12 arcsec south off the galaxy. The object is marked on a print of the original plate.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
