IC 3846 must be another defect on Schwassmann's plate. His description, like others for defects, would make this an outstanding object that the Herschels would be ashamed of for missing: "B, pL or pS, N = * 9.2". Needless to say, there is nothing like this in the area, nor at any reasonable digit errors.
