Observing Notes

Harold Corwin

IC 3887 is a double star, though the northwestern star is enough fainter that I missed it on the POSS1 O print. I called it a single star for several years. The correct object is clearly marked on a print of Wolf's original Bruce 16-inch refractor plate -- the two are completely merged there.
