IC 3889 is probably a single star, though it may include two other stars and a galaxy within an arcminute to the north. None of the objects is clear on the print of the original plate, nor is it clear to which of these objects Wolf's mark points. However, his position is for the southern star, so that is the object I have taken.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
