Observing Notes

Harold Corwin

IC 3979 is a star with a defect superposed. The position I measured refers to the star alone. There is another star within an arcminute to the north, and I mistakenly took that as the IC object when I went over the field earlier. The correct object is marked on a print of the original Bruce 16-inch refractor plate.
