NGC 5881 = IC 1100. Dreyer (1912) notes that the minute of the 1860 RA should be 4, not 6. This still leaves the NGC position about a minute of time too large for IC 1100, but there is no other reasonable match. The IC position is pretty good in spite of its source (Swift again), but the galaxy is a high-surface-brightness spiral, and the identification is reasonably secure. RC3 and RNGC are incorrect.― NGC Notes by Harold Corwin
