46cm f/4.5 Newtonian, Deep Violet @ 60x
Seeing: 8 Transparency: 7.5 Moon: 0%
A small patch of nebula surrounding a 10 mag star, 5' across, this is a wonderful photographic object, but quite difficult visually, hints of nebula thoughout the area, but only one notable patch of nebula at the coordinates, located just 7' west of the northernmost star in a conspicuous chain of four bright 7th mag stars in a very straight and evenly placed line, given the moniker of the nebula I have sometimes called this chain "The Road to War"

46cm f/4.5 Deep Violet
Emission nebula in Sco at the north end of a distinctive chain of four 6th and 7th magnitude stars, photos in the Deep Sky Guide show a wide area of nebulosity, but only a small patch east of the northernmost star shows in Deep Violet
