A subtle and beautiful ring like band surrounds a darker void, DSS images reveal that this ring is composed of stars while it appeared vaguely nebulous in the eyepiece, the ring is nearly complete while open to the south where the dark void fans away from the central blot, the central dark zone is about 10' across with a darker edge and brighter center, more visible with a UHC filter than an O-III
