Seeing: 7 Transparency: 7 Moon: 0%
A very dark void in the northern margin of M24, about 20' x 15', very few stars <12th magnitude punctuate the central region, a stark contrast to the extraordinarily rich galactic starfield that surrounds this dark cloud, margins are very indistinct with gradual darkening, B92 is visible 20' west

76mm APO
Transparency: 7.5
Dark, distinct, about ½° across, on the edge of M24 providing a very dense starfield against which the dark nebula is seen

46cm f/4.5 Deep Violet
Dark void in thick Milky Way star field, large, very opaque, just a few stars superimposed, somewhat larger N-S than E-W in extent, very similar in size and opacity to the nearby B92 located 20' west
