Small, faint but obvious, a round hazy patch with a few 12th magnitude stars scattered through it, faint, rich, partially resolved, compact with well defined extents, a 10th magnitude star on the south-southwest margin

A compact and obvious cluster seen against a notable rift in the otherwise rich starfields of Scutum, rich, not resolved, 5' diameter, the 9.8 magnitude BD-10 4718 on the southwestern edge
