At first glance this appears to be a binary with a pair of 8th magnitude stars 1' apart, a closer look reveals a 9th magnitude companion 7" southwest of the eastern HD172193, several other 11-12th magnitude stars lie a couple minutes south making a interesting little group
The close eastern HD172193 pair is catlogued as A and B while the western HD172178 is C
While compelling visually, the Gaia DR2 parallax and proper motion data indicates that the A B pair is probably binary while the association of C is visual only, not physically bound
