Seeing: 7 Transparency: 6 Moon: 0%
Brilliant pale orange, no companion noted, α1 Cap is 6' northwest, set in a rich starfield.
α1 Cap, α2 Cap, and SAO 163421 all have dramatically different parallax in the Gaia DR2 data indicating no physical relation for the three.

A rich yellow, an 11th magnitude 1.2" companion is not visible, α1 Cap is 6' west making for a very pretty field
