IC 5062 is a double star. Bigourdan's position corresponds to the RA of the southwestern star and the Dec of the northeastern. His description mentions the 13th magnitude star one arcmin west-northwest, so the identification is secure.
This is not a reobservation of NGC 6968 as some have supposed. Bigourdan saw and measured both objects on the night of 7 October 1891.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
