White, a listed 10th magnitude companion 60" northwest is not visible (??)

WDS clearly lists a 10.5 magnitude companion to the northwest, with a follow up observation noted in VizieR in 2013... 62.6" @ 298° There is no 10th magnitude star in the DSS imagery at this position! There is a much fainter star at the position at something like 12th magnitude or fainter.

Pale yellow, WDS lists a B companion at 10.5m pa 298 1' separation, this companion is not visible while BD+23 4304 at 10.2 magnitude 5' northeast is easily visible

There is a modest star 1' at ~300pa in the DSS imagery that does not appear nearly as bright as BD+23 4304, this Gaia DR2 1792362248592091008 at 12.4 G magnitude
