A pretty starfield, rich in an otherwise sparse region, excellent sweeping south from ζCap as far as 8PsA with numerous 6-8th magnitude stars, There is no obvious balloon shape

Globus Aerostaticus is an obsolete constellation at the western end of what is now Piscis Austrinus, invented by Lelande in 1798 and appearing in Bode's 1801 Uranographia
