A pleasing field with the coarse, triangular cluster framed by several bright stars (HR 8677, HD 215588 at 6th magnitude, and the double Σ480) The cluster is coarse, resolved, about 15' across, at the center of the cluster is a notable equiateral triangle 7' on a side outlined in 10th magnitude stars, the bright double of DH Cep anchors the southwest corner, conditions this eve prevent the nebulosity from being apparent allowing the cluster to be appreciated

Triangular cluster of stars, thirty to forty members with brighter members at the corners, nebulosity not apparent, maybe a little brighter in the cluster, need a larger instrument to appreciate
