Pale orange, the 10th magnitude star visible 2' southeast is listed as a companion in some references (but not WDS)
The Gaia parallax for the two stars is markedly different with HR 9009 at 10.29mas and BD-12 6560 at 5.77mas indicating a stark difference in distance. Oddly the two share a rather similar proper motion with HR 9009 at -49.2mas/yr in RA and -94.0mas/yr in dec, while BD-12 6560 moves at -45.3mas/yr in RA and -77.6mas/yr in dec.
