25cm f/5 Astrograph
Diam. 5', edge of diffused nebulosity. This is a round, sharply defined, dark bay in the east side of a very diffused nebulosity which extends east from M 8. Photographs on July 26 and 27, 1905, show the planet Uranus in this bay. It was nearly central in the bay on July 27."― A Photographic Atlas of Selected Regions of the Milky Way, E.E. Barnard, 1927
