IC 2488 = Lacialle III-4. See the entries in the "notngc" files for the short story on this. Briefly, John Herschel did not see the cluster, so it is included in neither GC nor NGC. It was not seen again until Solon Bailey included it in his 1902 Harvard list of bright non-stellar objects.
