IC 2574 ("Coddington's Nebula") is a large, low-surface-brightness, late-type spiral galaxy in the M 81 group. The position I've chosen is appropriate for the brightest spot in the galaxy's faint bulge. Note that this is eccentric with respect to the outer isophotes of the galaxy, so that other positions using those isophotes will be different.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
