This is probably a copying error by Javelle (or an assistant) in the coordinates of the comparison star, BD +32 2184 = SAO 62690: it is listed two degrees north of its actual position. Javelle's math is correct given this mistake, so his derived position for the galaxy is also two degrees north of the true position. This suggest a transcription error to me rather than a simple typo.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
