Observing Notes

Harold Corwin

IC 3532 is a double star. When I looked at this years ago on the POSS1 prints and on the DSS (also POSS1), I said, "[This] is a star blended with the image of a fainter object just west. I think that the western object is a galaxy, but cannot tell for sure on DSS." On the DSS2 image, and especially on the SDSS, this is clearly a double star. On the print of Wolf's original plate, this appears as a single object.
