IC 3925 is a triple star. Based on the DSS, I had called this a double star. However, the SDSS shows the brighter northeastern star to be itself double. And the faint object to the southwest is indeed a galaxy, not a defect on the original DSS.

Whatever its nature, the correct object is marked on the print of Wolf's original Bruce 16-inch refractor plate.
