IC 4092 is a star, verified on a print of the original plate. The object has a very faint companion -- another * -- close to the southeast. Is it possible that this faint star added to the perception of nebulosity on the original plate? See IC 3636 for more about that discovery plate.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
