IC 4812 is a large, faint nebulosity southwest of the brighter trio NGC 6726, 6727, and 6729, but still associated with the NGC objects. I've taken Stewart's "star" (it is actually double) as its center. He found this, and the association with the NGC objects, on a 5-hour plate, one of the longer exposures made at Arequipa.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
