Harold Corwin

IC 715 is a double galaxy. Javelle's position falls exactly between the two components, and his description reads (a free translation by me): "Faint, nearly round, 35-40 arcsec in diameter, appears as a milky patch of uniform light." It's clear that he saw this as a single object.
