IC 772 = IC 3067. Bigourdan's coarsely reduced position in IC1 was not good enough to alert Javelle 15 years later -- or Dreyer five years after that -- that the nebula had already been found. Also, Javelle's north polar distance offset has the wrong sign, throwing his position off the galaxy, too, and even further from Bigourdan's position. Hence, two IC numbers.
There are also two other galaxies nearby that might confuse the identification problems for these two numbers were it not for the fact that both observers nailed the object to within five arcseconds when their observations are reduced using Tycho-2 data for their comparison stars.
