A dark void set off by NGC7000 on one side and IC5070 on the other, the eastern edge is more distinct against the brighter glow of NGC7000, a number of bright stars (7th to 5th mag.) punctuate the dark region, quite large, about a degree east-west and somewhat larger north-south
