28cm f/10 SCT Gypsy

Large at over 15' in diameter, very rich, quite well defined despite its location on the margin of the Milky Way, homogeneous with a fairly dim population, somewhat clumpy in appearance with a few voids

90mm F/12 APO Violet Haze

Very Rich!! a thick patch of nebulosity just resolving into fine stars, stars evenly matched in magnitude giving a smooth appearance, fairly round, fades evenly off in all directions, visible in 9x63 binoculars, good binocular object

Dec 27, 2002    Sentinel, AZ (map)
46cm f/4.5 Deep Violet

Large, dim, very rich, hundreds of dim members, resolved well, in a mostly circular area, rich galactic star field, no bright members and even patch of dim members

May 19, 1885    Hardwick, Herefordshire, England (map)

Beautiful large cloud of minute stars; h., 11-18. 'A most superb cluster' 'A mere condensed patch,' as Sm. remarks, 'in a vast region of inexpressible splendour, spreading over many fields; including the whole Galaxy through this and the adjacent constellations.'
