IC 2069 may be the faint star at the position I've given in the table. That position is close to Stewart's nominal position.
However, Stewart marks the object "Suspected" which means that he's seen it on just one plate. Since there are several other objects on the same part of this plate (1-hour Bruce plate 4199 from Arequipa) that are also marked "Suspected", and clearly do not exist (see e.g. I2076, I2084), I wonder if this object, too, is a defect on the Bruce plate.
(Is the star possibly a double? I thought so examining it once on the DSS, but not a second or third time. If so, the secondary is very faint and completely blended with the primary.) The star appears single on the DSS2 images.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
