IC 720 is a double interacting galaxy; the northern is the brighter component, and this is the one that Spitaler probably saw. His position is about 10 arcsec northeast of the nucleus of the northern galaxy, so we are only reasonably certain about his observation.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
