IC 3245 is a defect on the Harvard Bruce plate. Ames looked for the nebula on the same plate a quarter of a century after Frost found it, and found that it is, in fact, a defect. Frost himself suspected that, but put it in his list, anyway.
I see no trace of the double star that Carlson credits to a Mt. Wilson observer (probably Hubble).― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
